I got someone to prescribe LDN for me today. I’ve had the most awful day ever, I don’t think I’ve ever been at a lower point, but when I can feel something again, I’m sure I will be happy that I have this script. I’m sure I saw something on here once about the compounding pharmacy on the North Shore in Auckland delivering, can anyone in NZ comment? And, is there a long turnaround time? Like if I give them the script tomorrow, will I have to wait days / weeks for it to be ready? Just trying to manage my own expectations.

LDN

LDN is Low Dose Naltrexone. Naltrexone is prescribed to help alcoholics stop drinking. In very low doses, it can help to reduce pain. In 2019, it was very difficult to get someone to prescribe it for me. The first time I got it, we drove to the North Shore to collect it, but after that I was able to order it through my pharmacy (with a prescription) and get it delivered.

Some CRPS sufferers refer to a magic trio – a combination of LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone), THC (cannabis) and PEA (palmitoylethanolamide). The combination of these has been a successful treatment for many of us. LDN and THC are prescription only in New Zealand. PEA can be ordered from health supplement sites.

Don’t take my word for it – always talk to your doctor!
